Borrowing & Renewals
Individuals with a current St. Edward's University ID, courtsey borrower card, or TexShare card are eligible to borrow library materials. Loan periods and renewal options vary according to borrower status and type of material (see table below).

With your SEU login and password, you may access your library account and renew your own books through the My Account option on the library home page. The number of renewals that are permitted depends on your borrower type (see the table below). Renewals are not permitted if a book is overdue or has been placed on hold. To request renewal of Interlibrary Loan (ILL) materials, please contact the ILL department in advance of the due date at (512) 448-8738 or illhelp@stdwards.edu.

Fines & Replacement Charges

Overdue fines and other charges may be assessed for library materials not returned on time (see chart below).

SEU borrowers may pay library fines at the Circulation Desk with a credit card or Topper Tender only, or at the Student Financial Services Office (MB 204) with cash, check, or credit card. Fines over $10 are automatically transferred to the SFSO and must be paid there. Borrowing privileges are suspended when $50 or more in fines has accrued OR when 10 or more items are overdue. If items are not returned during the grace period, fines will accrue from the due date and item will go into "replacement" status.

Alumni/Courtesy borrowers may pay library fines at the Circulation Desk using cash, check, or credit card. These borrowers must pay any outstanding fines before checking out or renewing more items.
