Collection Services, also known as Library Technical Services or Acquisitions and Serials, is responsible for the purchase and processing of library materials and the receiving of gifts and donations to the library’s collection. The development of the library’s collection is coordinated through subject selectors and materials requests can be made either by contacting them or by submitting a purchase request form. Materials which are appropriate to the library’s collection are defined in the library’s collection development policy.
